Prime Minister Imran Khan recently spoke at the launch of the Naya Pakistan Qaumi Sehat Card in Islamabad.

Prime Minister Imran Khan has stated that universal health coverage will play a significant role in Pakistan’s transformation into a welfare state.

Every family in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Tharparkar will be able to receive medical treatment for up to one million rupees at government and certified private hospitals.

According to the Prime Minister, this is a watershed point in Pakistan’s history. Healthcare is available to the weaker members of society.

Previously, this service was solely available to the upper class.
