PM Shehbaz Departs for Doha to Meet Emir of Qatar After Saudi Crown Prince Meeting

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has departed for Doha after completing his meeting with Mohammed bin Salman in Saudi Arabia. His visit to Qatar is part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to strengthen Pakistan’s ties with key regional partners.

In Doha, the prime minister is expected to meet Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to discuss matters of mutual interest. The talks are likely to focus on economic cooperation, investment opportunities, and strengthening bilateral relations between Pakistan and Qatar.

Officials say the visit aims to attract more investment into Pakistan and explore new areas of partnership, including energy, trade, and infrastructure development.

Qatar has been an important partner for Pakistan, especially in terms of energy supply and employment opportunities for Pakistani workers.

Before this, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif held discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, where both sides talked about expanding cooperation in different sectors.

These back-to-back meetings highlight Pakistan’s efforts to build stronger economic and diplomatic connections in the Gulf region.

The visit also reflects Pakistan’s strategy to engage with friendly countries to improve its economic outlook and secure long-term support. Strengthening ties with Gulf nations is seen as a key step in boosting trade, investment, and overall economic stability.
