President Pakistan Awarded Civilian Award ‘Hilal-e-Pakistan’ to Microsoft’s Co-founder Bill gates.

President Dr Arif Alvi bestowed the ‘Hilal-e-Pakistan’ award on Bill Gates, Co-Chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, on Thursday in appreciation of his contributions to poverty reduction and health care.

According to the facts, Bill Gates received the honour today during a special investiture ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad. Federal ministers, top officials, and members of the diplomatic corps attended the event.

His charitable organisation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, is assisting in the eradication of polio in Pakistan as well as the financial system through various interventions.

Bill Gates, who was born in 1955 in Seattle, Washington, is a co-founder of Microsoft Corporation, the world’s largest personal-computer software firm.

Microsoft was founded in 1975 by Bill Gates with the aim of “a computer on every desktop and in every household,” which has already been accomplished in many parts of the world.
