Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has brought good news for iPhone users by implementing a reduction in the registration fee for older models of unregistered iPhones.
Following a recent tax reduction on Apple smartphones by the Federal Board of Revenue, PTA has introduced lowered registration fees for the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.
The registration charges for the iPhone 8 on the passport has been decreased from PKR 56,622 to PKR 38,922. However, on the identity card, it has been revised from PKR 67,784 rupees to PKR 48,314.
Similarly, for the iPhone 8 Plus, the registration fee on the passport has seen a reduction from PKR 58,651 to PKR 40,951 rupees, while on the identity card, the fee has been modified from PKR 70,016 to PKR 50,546.
These fee reductions by PTA align with recent tax changes on Apple devices, offering enhanced affordability to users of older iPhone models.
