PTA Takes up Blocking of Pakistani User’s Twitter Accounts

Pakistan Telecom Authority-PTA has recently taken up for the suspension of blocking the user’s accounts in Pakistan who tweets regarding the People’s Rights of Self Determination of IOJ&K- Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir through the Twitter administration.

PTA until now has received up to 369 total complaints from the users as regarding the blocking of their accounts on Twitter.

However, after the analysis conducted by PTA they reported that 280 accounts that are valid have been suspended just for posting tweets in support for rights of the people of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

PTA has raised concerns with Twitter administration as the social media platform is not only depriving the Pakistani users for their fundamental rights but it is also violating the community guidelines of its own.

PTA has asked Twitter to review its biased approach for Pakistani users as by unblocking their accounts that are just advocating oppressed people’s rights who belongs to IOJ&K.
