PTCL posts Highest Record Revenue Growth of Since 2013

The Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL), the country’s major telecom and ICT services provider, saw a 7 percent increase in income thanks to a strong commercial approach.

“PTCL continues its outstanding success during 2021,” President and Group Hatem Bamatraf told reporters here. The income of Rs 77 billion generated by PTCL in 2021 is 7% greater than in 2020, owing to the broadband, corporate, and wholesale business divisions.”

He said that the PTCL group earned Rs 138 billion in revenue in 2021, up 6.3 percent from the previous year.

PTML (Ufone) grew revenue by 4.3 percent, he claimed, despite fierce competition in the industry. He stated that the U Bank had maintained its growing momentum, with revenue increasing by 8.4 percent. PTCL Group had a net profit of Rs 2.6 billion during the same period, according to the President.

He claimed that in 2021, PTCL had the highest fixed broadband sales and Net Adds since 2015, allowing the company to expand its broadband business.

He said that in 2021, PTCL would be the fastest-growing Fiber To-The-Home (FTTH) operator with the largest net additions in the FTTH market.
