Punjab Govt. to cultivate more than 1 million olive plants in South Punjab.

The Punjab government will produce more than one million olive plants in South Punjab as part of the National Olive Project to improve the country’s olive production.

This was declared by Saqib Ali Ateel, Secretary Agriculture South Punjab, during the inauguration of the Olive Cultivation Project under the National Olive Project at Islamia University Bahawalpur.

He stated that Olive Cluster includes Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, and Dera Ghazi Khan.

He stated that effective measures will be used for olive processing, value addition, marketing, and branding.

According to Saqib Ali Ateel, olive growers would be granted access to national and worldwide markets for olive exports in order to reap economic benefits.
