The Punjab government is rolling out an initiative aimed at providing winter clothing to students in several government schools to protect them from the harsh winter.
Starting January 13, around 21,000 students from schools in Lahore, Narowal, Rajanpur, and Layyah will receive winter clothes, including sweaters, coats, shoes, and uniforms.
This program is being executed under the Chief Minister’s direction and with the help of the Department of Bait-ul-Mal and the Social Welfare Department.
The selection of schools for this initiative has already been completed, and the revised winter vacation schedule extends the holidays until January 10. Schools will reopen on January 13, after the regular weekend holidays on January 11-12.
