Quetta Gladiator Picks Muhammad Amir in Platinum Category

Gladiators picked Amir in second pick of platinum category

Former Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir expressed his delight after he was drafted by Quetta Gladiators in the Platinum Category on Wednesday, December 13.

The left-arm fast bowler was roped in as a wildcard in the Platinum Category as early as the Round 1 of the players draft, days after he was released by Karachi Kings.

Amir was among the top picks in the first round. Multan Sultan opted for David Willey as their first Platinum pick, Karachi Kings went for Kieron Pollard while Quetta also roped in West Indies all-rounder Sherfane Rutherford as their Platinum pick.

Peshawar Zalmi went for Afghanistan spinner Noor Ahmad while Lahore Qalandars picked flamboyant opener Fakhar Zaman in Round 1.

David Willey in the first pick of the platinum category during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9 drafting ceremony.

Following the World Cup debacle, Willey decided to bid farewell to international cricket, playing a key role in England’s 93-run victory in their last group match at the World Cup.
