Ramzan 2025 in Pakistan Likely to Start This Sunday, March 2

Ramadan 2025 is expected to begin in Pakistan on March 2, with the first fast likely observed the following day. SUPARCO has predicted that the new moon will appear on February 28. However, due to its low altitude and distance from Earth, it will be difficult to see with the naked eye in Pakistan.

Since the crescent moon may not be visible in the country, Ramadan is likely to start on March 2. Meanwhile, SUPARCO has stated that the moon might be visible in Saudi Arabia on February 28, which means Ramadan there could begin on March 1.

The official confirmation of Ramadan’s start in Pakistan will come from the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, which is responsible for moon sighting decisions. If the moon is not sighted on February 28, fasting will begin on March 2.

Eid ul-Fitr, which marks the end of Ramadan, is expected to fall on March 31 in Pakistan. However, the exact date will be confirmed after the sighting of the Shawwal moon by the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

As always, moon sighting may vary by country, leading to different starting dates for Ramadan around the world. Muslims in Pakistan are advised to follow official announcements for accurate information about the holy month’s beginning and end.
