Imran Riaz Khan, a news anchor who had been missing for nearly five months, was found and returned home safely, as confirmed by the Sialkot police. He was arrested on May 11 at Sialkot Airport during nationwide protests that began on May 9.
The Sialkot police shared on Twitter that Imran Riaz Khan, the journalist and anchor, has been safely found and is now with his family.
His family has also verified that he is safe. Back on September 6, the Lahore High Court gave the Punjab Inspector General 13 days to locate Imran Riaz Khan. His father had asked the court to help find his son.
The Inspector General of Punjab, Usman Anwar, told the court that there was progress in finding Imran Riaz and requested more time, assuring that they would have good news within the next 10 to 15 days.
