Rs. 1580 Million announced by IT Minister for Gilgit’s Networking Project

Pakistan is focusing on IT to upgrade the systems according to the latest technology. However, the arrival of networks like 3G and 4G services in the remote areas of the country also helps in boosting the ecommerce and also brings the socio-economic success for the region that also benefit the ones living on the CPEC routes in Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to the Ministry of IT & Telecom, a special organization for communication work is under the plan of ministry that is set to spend about Rs. 1580 million for the better networking infrastructure in (G-B) Gilgit-Baltistan.

However, an addition of new mobile and internet customers that are around 80,000 are added and the overall project is estimated as to bring 300 million as the total revenue.

The latest network and the technology is also boosting the system, meanwhile it is expected that it will also increase tourism. It will also create job opportunities for people and can boost the local economy by increasing job opportunities.

Moreover, as per the reports the hospitality industry along with the values of tourism chain is also expected to get improve as it will surely make the online marketing more effective and also enhance the ecommerce industry.
