Saqlain Mushtaq, a former head coach of Pakistan, has apparently been hired as a consultant by the New Zealand cricket team.
During the T20I and ODI series that will start in April against Pakistan, Mushtaq has volunteered to serve as the Black Caps’ consultant.
This development comes as Mickey Arthur, who has previously led the national team as head coach, is anticipated to be named consulting team director by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
According to reports, the board is reportedly set to appoint renowned South African pacer Morne Morkel as the bowling coach and Grant Bradburn as his assistant.
The appointment of Andrew Puttick as the batting coach is anticipated.
Before the commencement of the home series against New Zealand, the coaching staff is anticipated to join the team.
