Satellite Images Expose Massive Forest Destruction in Kotli Sattian

Three thousand hectares of forest land have reportedly been devastated by massive wildfires that swept across several areas of Kotli Sattian, causing significant environmental damage in one of Punjab’s most ecologically important regions. According to reports, satellite imagery revealed the extent of the destruction, showing vast stretches of forest cover reduced by the ongoing blaze.

The fires were reportedly fueled by extreme temperatures and prolonged dry conditions, allowing the flames to spread rapidly across multiple locations. Environmental experts have expressed concern over the long-term impact on biodiversity, wildlife habitats, and the region’s natural ecosystem.

Satellite data indicated that approximately 25 separate locations were affected, highlighting the widespread nature of the disaster. The incident has renewed concerns about the increasing risks posed by climate change, rising temperatures, and inadequate wildfire prevention measures.

The large-scale destruction has also sparked fresh discussions on the need for stronger forest protection strategies, improved emergency response systems, and greater investment in environmental conservation efforts to safeguard Pakistan’s natural resources for future generations.
