Saudi Arabia has introduced a new “Hajj Without Luggage” service for Hajj 2026, designed to make the pilgrimage experience more convenient and comfortable for travelers arriving from different countries. Under the initiative, pilgrims will be able to send their luggage directly from their home countries to their hotels in Makkah and Madinah without having to carry or manage bags during transit.
The service aims to reduce overcrowding and delays at airports during the busy Hajj season while improving the overall travel experience for millions of pilgrims. According to officials, baggage will be collected at departure airports and delivered to pilgrims’ accommodations within 24 hours of their arrival in Saudi Arabia.
The project is being supported by Saudi airline Saudia and Saudi Post as part of the Kingdom’s broader efforts to modernize Hajj services through advanced logistics and technology. Authorities expect nearly 1.1 million bags from countries participating in the Makkah Route Initiative to be handled through the new system, helping ensure smoother and more efficient Hajj operations this year.
