Saudi Government Places Restrictions in Mosques

Recently, a set of instructions were issued by the Saudi government for mosques to follow in the month of Ramadan that also includes the restrictions regarding the volume of loudspeakers during the Adhan.

According to sources, instructions includes that Loudspeakers cannot be used except to make a call for prayer and Iqaamat (the second call to prayer given before the prayer starts). And their volume should not exceed one-third of their total capacity during these two instances.

The instructions also include that Arab media are restricted from broadcasting Live transmissions of the prayer in Ramadan.
