Saudia Arabia & UAE to Observe first Roza on Thursday

The crescent moon of Ramadan hasn’t been sighted in Saudia Arabia in the evening, as per Kingdom’s Supreme Court.

So, 22 March would be the 30th day of Sha’ban and holy month of Ramadan would start from 23 March, Thursday.

As per Islamic calendar the beginning and the ending of the month depends on the cresent moon, which usually lasts with 29 or 30 days.

The moon’s sighting committee will meet again tomorrow evening to confirm the sighting of the moon.

Ramadan is the holy month in which the Quran was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), and the faithful observe the 9th month of the Islamic calendar with prayers and fasting.
