Out of Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi has chosen his favourite skipper. The 21-year-old, speaking to the media at a press conference where he was introduced as the new captain of Pakistan Super League (PSL) team Lahore Qalandars, compared Rizwan to current Pakistan captain Babar.
Mohammad Rizwan is the persona I admire the most. I had the pleasure of playing domestic cricket with him in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and I admired his approach.
Babar has also done a good job leading the Pakistani team, but Rizwan is the best. ” Shaheen responded after being asked who he admires the most as a captain. In all three formats, Babar Azam leads Pakistan, with Mohammad Rizwan serving as his deputy in Test cricket. In the meantime, Shaheen will lead the team for the first time in professional cricket.
He has taken the post of Sohail Akhtar as captain of the Lahore Qalandars, who have yet to win the PSL’s showpiece domestic event.
