Shahid Afridi’s Tenure as Chief Selector Finished After New Zealand Series Loss

The tenure of the interim selection committee led by Shahid Afridi of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has come to an end with the conclusion of New Zealand’s tour to Pakistan.

Under the direction of Afridi, a brand-new temporary selection panel composed of Rao Iftikhar and Abdul Razzaq was established. This committee’s tenure is likewise over.

Actually, the interim selection committee led by Afridi had only been chosen by the new PCB chairman Najam Sethi for the New Zealand series.

The selecting committee will then be made up of these people indefinitely. This temporary selection committee’s time came to an end with Pakistan’s defeat in the final ODI match against New Zealand on Friday.
