Sharjah company takes top performing laborers on free European holiday

Sharjah based construction company, World Star Holdings, surprised its top performing employees by treating them to a fully funded trip to Europe. The company selected 10 staff members and sent them on a 4 day holiday to Tbilisi, Georgia. As a token of appreciation for their hard work. The workers, who typically earn between Dh1,000 and Dh1,500 per month and never has an opportunity to experience the cool climate and scenic beauty of Europe before.

During their trip, the employees visited popular tourist attractions in Tbilisi, such as the Holy Trinity Cathedral, Bridge of Peace, and Narikala Fortress.

For many of them, this was their first chance to go sightseeing. As their financial constraints had previously prevented them from doing so, even in their own country.

The trip was a complete surprise for the workers, who initially thought they were being laid off. The company covered all expenses, including winter clothes and suitcases. Moreover, it also continued to pay their salaries for the duration of the trip.

Haseena Nishad, the managing director of the company, expressed her dedication to the well being and happiness of their employees. She emphasized the importance of dispelling the misconception that blue collar workers in the construction industry are mistreated or exploited.

World Star Holdings plans to make this trip an annual initiative. The company understands that these hardworking individuals rarely spend money on themselves. As they prioritize supporting their families back home. By organizing such trips, the company aims to give back to employees, and provide them the opportunity to enjoy a well deserved break.
