Shehroze Kashif Becomes Youngest Climber to Summit 12 Peaks Above 8,000 Meters

Shehroze Kashif, a Pakistani mountaineer has made a breakthrough of climbing 12 World’s summits reaching above 8000 meters. The youngster ascended Mt Dhaulagiri in Nepal, on 17th May 2023, which is the 7th highest summit in the world.

Shehroze has also worn the crown of being the youngest mountaineer to climb Mount Everest and K2 in 2019. He has also climbed Mount Lhotse, Nanga Parbat, Manaslu, Mount Annapurna, Broad Peak, Kanchenjunga, and Gasherbrum-2.

The secretary general of Alpine Club Pakistan, Karrar Haidri, appraised Shehroze in a statement where he mentioned that he is the youngest in the World to climb 12 peaks of above 8000 meters. He also mentioned that all the mountains in Pakistan and Nepal have been ascended and only two are left; Cho Oyu and Shishapangma.

It seems that Shehroze has inherited this passion of climbing from his father, who was only 11 years old when he first summited Makra Peak. His father, Salman Kashif, says that Shehroze is still like an 11-year child to him and expressed his proudness on son’s achievement.
