Akhtar says this team would not only celebrate Rawalpindi’s strong cricketing history but also shine a spotlight on the city’s reputation for producing top fast bowlers. He mentioned current stars like Haris Rauf and Mohammad Wasim as proof that Rawalpindi has the talent and passion to deserve its own franchise in the league.
As the PSL looks to expand for its 11th season in 2026, Akhtar is encouraging fans to get behind the idea and show their support. He hopes that with enough public interest, “Pindi Express” can become a reality and bring even more energy and excitement to the tournament.
