Show-Cause Notices Issues to Air Blue, Serene Air for Flight Delays

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has taken action against two major Pakistani airlines, Serene Air and Air Blue, by issuing show-cause notices on January 2 and January 15, respectively. The notices highlight concerns over flight delays and alleged violations of passenger rights by the airlines.

The notices emphasize the adverse effects of prolonged flight delays and numerous cancellations, creating hardships for a considerable number of passengers. Both Serene Air and Air Blue are accused of failing to adhere to recognized regulatory rules, resulting in disruptions to their flight operations and causing inconvenience to passengers.

The potential consequences for the airlines include financial penalties, suspension or revocation of their licenses, and a reduction in the number of scheduled flights.

To address the allegations, both Serene Air and Air Blue have been given a seven-day window to submit their responses to the show-cause notices. The CAA’s action underscores the authority’s commitment to ensuring that airlines adhere to regulations and prioritize passenger welfare.
