Smartphones Banned for Women in a University at KPK Pakistan

A public women’s college in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has banned students from using smartphones while attending university.

The Swabian Women’s University statement states that the restriction will come into force on April 20 (Wednesday).

“For the information of all students, we are informed that from 20. 2022,” says the notification.

The administration indicated that extensive use of social networking applications impairs student performance and devastating affects their behaviour.

“In case of violating the instructions, the authorities will take strict disciplinary action by confiscating the mobile phone and imposing a fine of Rs. 5,000,” he added.
