Smog in Lahore has been wrecking havoc on people’s health, according to the health index, spending 24 hours in the city is equivalent to smoking 10 cigarettes.
Furthermore, Sahiwal was the second most polluted city, followed by Faisalabad, Raiwind, and Bahawalpur, as per the Air Quality Index.
Justice Shahid Karim, who heard multiple public interest petitions on environmental issues, said that the AQI had deteriorated to unsafe levels, making the entire city one of the most polluted cities in the world.
