South Korean University Offering Fully Funded Scholarships with Stipend for Students

Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea has announced its prestigious international scholarships for the academic year 2024-2025. This initiative aims to attract talented students worldwide to pursue Masters and PhD degrees across various fields. GIST is recognized as a top research university established by the Korean Government in 1993.

Scholarship Details

GIST offers comprehensive support covering tuition fees, monthly stipends, and additional benefits for international students. For instance, students pursuing a Masters Degree will receive 140,000 won per month, while those enrolled in PhD programs will receive 295,000 won monthly. Additionally, all participants in research projects will benefit from generous assistantship allowances.

Financial Coverage

The scholarships include full tuition fee coverage, along with health insurance support covering 60% of the Korean National Health Insurance fee. Furthermore, students are eligible for a one-way flight reimbursement to South Korea, ensuring a smooth transition.

Students have the opportunity to choose from a wide range of study fields at GIST, including Chemistry, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Science, and Artificial Intelligence, among others.
