Sports Cars Found Racing and Drifting at Lahore Fort

Dozens of sports cars have been witnessed racing and drifting around the Lahore Fort heritage site.

Members of powerful families from Lahore and other parts of the province reportedly drove their sports vehicles into the ancient heritage site and competed in racing, drifting, and other events, according to local sources.

Kamran Lashari, Director General of the Walled City Authority, expressed his displeasure with the presence of racing automobiles on the fort grounds.

According to him, authorization was granted for a two-day event, but the owners of sports cars continued to trespass on the property after that. He added the authorities would alert the officials concerned about the matter.

Meanwhile, the claims of automobile racing and drifting at Shahi Qila have apparently caught the attention of Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.

He demanded a report from the Director General of the Walled City of Lahore Authority and ordered an investigation.

The CM stated that the officers who granted the permit should face disciplinary action.
