The Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship 2027 at the University of Toronto is now open for outstanding international students who wish to pursue undergraduate studies in Canada. Recognized as one of Canada’s most prestigious scholarships, the program supports exceptional students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, creativity, and a strong commitment to making a positive impact in their schools and communities. Approximately 37 students are selected each year.
What Does the Scholarship Cover?
The fully funded scholarship provides comprehensive financial support for four years of undergraduate study, including:
- Full tuition fees
- Cost of books and learning materials
- Incidental and compulsory university fees
- Full on-campus residence support
The scholarship is valid only for first-entry undergraduate programs at the University of Toronto.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be an international student who requires a Canadian study permit.
- Be in the final year of secondary school or have graduated no earlier than June 2026.
- Begin undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto in September 2027.
- Be nominated by their secondary school.
- Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, leadership qualities, creativity, and a positive impact on their community.
Application Process
The application process consists of three main steps:
- Obtain a nomination from your high school.
- Apply for admission to an undergraduate program at the University of Toronto.
- After receiving the nomination, complete the online Pearson Scholarship application using the private link provided by the university.

- School nomination deadline: October 9, 2026
- University admission application deadline: October 16, 2026
- Scholarship application deadline: November 6, 2026
