Successful applicants will receive an annual stipend of US$75,000, an independent research budget of approximately US$45,000 per year, on-campus accommodation, medical insurance, travel and relocation allowances, and access to advanced laboratories and professional development programs. The fellowship also covers childcare and schooling support, allowing researchers to focus entirely on their work while collaborating with an international scientific community.
Eligibility Criteria
The fellowship is open to postdoctoral researchers from all nationalities who have earned their PhD within the last four years or possess up to four years of postdoctoral research experience. Applicants must submit a research proposal aligned with KAUST’s priority research areas, including energy, environment, food, health, water, and digital technologies, while also meeting Saudi Arabia’s residency requirements.

Applicants are also required to identify a KAUST faculty member whose research aligns with their proposed project.
