Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has announced a temporary suspension of gas supply to several areas of Lahore as emergency repair work is carried out on a leaking gas pipeline along Barki Road.
According to the company, the gas supply will remain suspended from 9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 30, until 6 a.m. on Thursday, October 1.
The shutdown has been planned to allow repair teams to safely address the pipeline leak and restore the supply once the work is completed.
The affected areas include Main Barki Road, Paragon City, all blocks of DHA Phases 6 and 7, Mehfoozpura, DHA Phase 8, Askari X, Airport Road, Cantonment, Ghazi Road, DHA Phases 1–4, Nishat Colony, Harbanspura, Bedian Road, Askari XI, Dharampura, Ghaziabad, Canal Road and adjoining areas.
SNGPL has advised consumers in the affected localities to make alternative arrangements for the duration of the shutdown.
Residents have also been urged to keep their gas appliances switched off while the supply is unavailable to help prevent any potential accidents when gas service is restored.
Consumers have been advised to remain cautious and follow safety precautions until normal gas supply resumes after the emergency repair work is completed.
