Supreme Court Ordered to Present Imran Khan in 1 Hour

Following the arrest of former Prime Minister Imran Khan by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued an order demanding his immediate appearance before the court, according to local media reports.

Khan’s arrest has sparked widespread and violent protests across the country, leading the government to deploy the army to restore law and order. As of Thursday, several senior leaders of Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, including a former foreign minister from Khan’s cabinet during his tenure as prime minister between 2018 and 2022, have been arrested.

The situation has escalated, resulting in approximately 2,500 arrests and a tragic toll of at least 11 fatalities, with dozens more injured as clashes between Khan’s supporters and law enforcement authorities erupted in various cities.

In response to these incidents, PTI supporters have resorted to attacking military establishments and setting fire to state buildings and assets. To mitigate the escalating violence and restore peace, the government has called upon the army for assistance.
