Supreme Court Orders to Restore Privileges and Pension to deceased Food Inspector after 22 Years

Sources reported on Thursday that a deceased retired food inspector has finally gotten justice from the Supreme Court (SC) after 22 years.

According to details, a three-member bench of the Supreme Court registry in Lahore led by Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah heard a case of seizing the retired food inspector’s pension and other benefits, who died while awaiting justice.

Officials of the Food Department and the Accountant General’s Office appeared before the SC Lahore. The bench showed resentment over the officials for seizing the pension and the perks and privileges of the retired food inspector.

22 years have passed; why have you not thought to pay the retired food inspector’s pension and dues?, the Supreme Court asked.

The SC, while ordering the food department and accountant general’s office officials to release the pension and dues of the retired employee to his widow within a week, adjourned the hearing.
