A teacher in Sanghar District, Sindh, has been suspended from duties after a video surfaced showing the teacher taking money from students during a grade 9 exam.
The video, widely shared on social media, captured the teacher accepting bribes from students. Reports indicate that the teacher demanded Rs500 from each student with the promise of helping them pass the exam.
Authorities swiftly responded to the viral video. The Sindh Education and Literacy Department has taken action by launching an investigation into the incident.
This situation has emerged during a period of widespread irregularities in the matric board exams across Sindh. Since the exams began on May 7, there have been reports of almost all exam papers being leaked.
In response to these malpractices, the Department of Sindh Boards and Universities has directed the chairman of the Board of Secondary Education in Karachi to take measures to address and prevent such issues in the future.
