Test Cricketr Azhar Ali Likely to Get Important Position in PCB

According to sources, former cricket captain and Test player Azhar Ali is set to take on an important role within the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He may be given responsibilities in either the selection committee or the high-performance center.

The Chairman of PCB, Mohsin Naqvi, thinks it’s a good idea to use Azhar’s experience in cricket. Azhar Ali, who is 39 years old, retired from Test cricket in 2022 after playing in 96 matches and scoring 7,097 runs.

Azhar Ali is famous for being the only Pakistani player to score a triple-century in a pink-ball Test match. Also, it’s possible that Rehan-ul-Haq, a former team manager, will return to his role under Najam Sethi’s leadership.
