According to Khalid Mansoor, the Prime Minister’s special assistant on CPEC issues, phase two of the multibillion-dollar project will create a slew of new job opportunities for the people, with a focus on skill development. To that end, vocational training institutes will be built in special economic zones.
“The strategy is that untrained individuals will be trained and hired in project activities, and then they will be able to work and support their families,” Mansoor told Chinese reporters.
Mansoor stated that CPEC is one of the most essential projects for Pakistan’s economic rebirth.
“In phase two of the CPEC, the country will establish an industrial hub, creating many chances for both domestic and foreign businesses.”
Mansoor added, “There are various areas where we can benefit from the strong research and experience of the Chinese agriculture sector, such as enhancing seed quality and then using research and development to boost our output and modernise our automated cultivation and harvesting.”
