The World’s Largest Cruise Ship is Almost Ready to Set Sail

The construction of the biggest cruise ship in the world, called Icon of the Seas, has finished successfully at a shipyard in Finland. This enormous vessel is a remarkable 365 meters long and weighs around 250,800 tonnes. Recently, it began its first voyage for sea trials to ensure everything is working properly.

Expected to be delivered in October of this year, Royal Caribbean International’s Icon of the Seas will provide an extraordinary experience for its 5,610 passengers and 2,350 crew members. One of its most impressive features will be Category 6, the largest waterpark at sea, which includes six record-breaking water slides, seven pools, and nine whirlpools.

With its magnificent size and innovative design, Icon of the Seas aims to establish new standards in the cruise industry.
