”There is no Load Shedding in Pakistan”, Claim Energy and Power Minister

Energy Minister Khurrum Dastagir Khan told the National Assembly that 21,500 megawatts of electricity were produced on Monday, which is more than our needs.

I was responding to a wake-up call from Mrs Aliya Kamran and others regarding the unannounced electrical load dump in Balochistan.

The minister said that the government believes in providing electricity to all provinces without discrimination.

Said there is no load shedding on the feeders with 80 percent recovery and fewer losses.

He expressed a commitment to provide Balochistan with maximum power.

He also urged Chamber members to notify stakeholders if they spot an unplanned cargo drop.

He said the distribution companies had already been instructed that the electricity could not be cut off for technical reasons.

However, he said that due to mismanagement by the previous government, the government faced resource limitations in an uninterrupted power supply.
