Top education officer bans Co-Education in Chakwal schools.

According to informed sources, Deputy District Education Officer Chakwal announced a ban on co-education, stating that boys would not be permitted to study alongside girls in grades six, seven, and eight in the district’s government-run school.

They stated that following the issuing of notification no. 1729 dated 21 December 2021 by DDEO (M-EE) Chakwal Arif, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chakwal Capt (R) Bilal Hashim and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Education had taken note of the situation.

The CEO Education Department has issued a showcause notice to DDEO (M-EE) Chakwal Arid.

According to reports, DDEO (M-EE) Chakwal Arif has directed all E/S Male Tehsil Chakwal head teachers to remove the names of female students studying in co-education in classes six, seven, and eight from enrolment lists.
