Top Players from Quaid-e-Azam Trophy finalised for training camp for Australia tour


The Pakistan cricket team is getting ready for their Test tour in Australia. Before they leave for Australia on November 30th, they have a preparatory camp scheduled in Rawalpindi from November 22 to 29. The camp will help them get ready for the challenging series ahead.

The Test captain, Shan Masood, along with Team Director Mohammad Hafeez and Chief Selector Wahab Riaz, has picked players for the training camp. Some standout performers from the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, like Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, and leading wicket-taker Khurram Shehzad, are among those chosen.

The coaching staff for the team is now finalized. Mohammad Hafeez will be the head coach and batting coach, Umar Gul will be the bowling coach, and Abdul Majid will work on improving fielding skills. Naveed Akram Cheema will manage the team during the tour, and Shahid Aslam will be the assistant coach cum manager. Raza Rashid is appointed as the media manager for the Australia tour.

The squad and coaching staff announcement will be made formal once it gets approval from Zaka Ashraf, the head of the PCB management committee, who is currently in India. The team is planning to include seventeen to eighteen players in the squad for the Australia tour.

Here is the schedule for the Australia tour:

  • Four-day match: PM’s XI vs Pakistan – December 6-9 at Manuka Oval, Canberra.
  • 1st Test – Australia vs Pakistan – December 14-18 at Perth Stadium.
  • 2nd Test – Australia vs Pakistan – December 26-30 at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
  • 3rd Test – Australia vs Pakistan – January 3-7 at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
