Tourist train launched to boost tourism in Balochistan

In order to promote tourism, on Saturday Pakistan Railways introduced a tourist shuttle train service between Kolpur & Bostan, the two regions of Balochistan.

The train will run twice a week between two stations, i.e. Saturday and Sunday meanwhile some charges have been fixed to facilitate the tourists. The train will stop at different stations, such as Baleli, Kuchlak, Bostan, Quetta, Sariab, Spezand & Kolpur railway stations.

Akhtar Mahmood Khattak,Divisional Superintendent (DS) Quetta inaugurated the tourist train service at Quetta station.

While speaking to media at the inauguration ceremony, Divisional Superintendent said the Pakistan Railways (PR) has initiated this special train for people of Balochistan & resolved to use all available resources to facilitate tourists.

The tourists train service was launched on a request of Balochistan Govt. The train will start the jounrey from the Quetta railway station for Kolpur at 9pm on sat & sun. And then It will stop at Buleli, Kuchlak, Bostan, and Supzand railway stations before reaching the final destination & began journey back to Quetta at 2:10pm.
