Toyota to Launch Its First Locally-Assembled Hybrid Car in Pakistan

The Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid’s fundamental structural and mechanical advancements are over, according to official sources, and the business is now focusing on the vehicle’s fit and finish.

The company has already begun developing nameplates, badges, and fitments for the vehicle. Similarly, the business is making great progress and plans to introduce the Corolla Cross in H1 2023.

Additionally, the business claimed that the State Bank of Pakistan’s import restrictions are mostly to blame for the downturn (SBP). The sector has been significantly impacted by the ban on importing fully knocked-down (CKD) kits.

The HEV assembly factory, according to the firm, is on schedule, and the Corolla Cross is about to go on sale in Pakistan this year despite all the obstacles.
