Trump claims nuclear-armed Iran would have wiped out Israel and the entire Middle East
Speaking in Florida, Donald Trump claimed B-2 bombers had eliminated Iran’s nuclear weapons last year and said he had tried to reach an agreement with Tehran.

US President Donald Trump has claimed that Israel and the entire Middle East would have been wiped off the map if he had allowed Iran to possess nuclear weapons. He made the remarks during an address at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, according to ARY News Urdu’s November 7, 2026 report from Washington.
Trump said B-2 bombers had been used the previous year specifically to eliminate Iran’s nuclear weapons. He presented the operation as the action that had prevented the destruction he claimed would otherwise have occurred across Israel and the wider Middle East.
The president also said he had attempted to settle matters with the Iranians through an agreement. He added that it remained to be seen how the issue would develop.
Turning to the elections, Trump said he had not been a candidate and claimed that he would have won had he stood. In an earlier statement on the social media platform Truth Social, he had said that nobody wanted to acknowledge it, but that everyone knew it was true.
His remarks followed an acknowledgment in recent days that the unpopularity of the war against Iran had played an important part in the Republican Party’s heavy defeat in the US midterm elections. Trump had also identified the resulting increase in prices worldwide as a major contributor to that electoral setback.
US Vice President JD Vance had likewise acknowledged the conflict’s electoral impact. He said he believed the war with Iran was one of the main reasons Republicans had lost.
