Seeing their friend in danger, the other two immediately jumped in to save him. However, the strong underwater current at Khanpur Dam made it difficult for all three to stay safe. They soon began to drown. Local people quickly informed rescue teams. After a search operation, the bodies of two young men were recovered from the water.

The two deceased were identified as Aijaz Ahmed and Moeed. The third friend was rescued alive but in critical condition. He was rushed to Khanpur Hospital for emergency treatment, where doctors described his condition as serious.

Khanpur Dam, known for its beautiful views, has seen several drowning incidents in the past due to its deep waters and strong currents. This latest tragedy has left families devastated and the local community in deep sorrow.

Authorities have started an investigation into the incident. Officials are reminding people to be very careful near dams and fast-moving waters. Swimming in unknown or deep areas can be extremely dangerous, especially without proper safety measures or life jackets.
