UAE’s Sheikha Fatima Announces Theme of Emirati Women’s Day 2023

The most-sought after theme of for 2023 Emirati Women’s Day, slated for celebration on August 28th, has been revealed by Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and the President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.

The chosen theme, “We Collaborate for Tomorrow,” aligns with UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s declaration of 2023 as the “Year of Sustainability.” This underscores the nation’s dedicated pursuit of inventive solutions to address sustainability challenges.

Sheikha Fatima affirmed that Emirati Women’s Day is a cherished annual event that showcases inspiring themes. This event resonates with the country’s strategy of recognizing and empowering women’s pivotal roles. She further emphasized that the UAE has enshrined gender balance within its social fabric, spotlighting the pivotal role of cooperation between federal and local entities, civil society, and the private sector in advancing achievements in this realm.

Notably, the UAE’s significant involvement in addressing climate change, especially in the lead-up to COP28 in November 2023, is underscored by the prominent participation of female leaders who comprise a significant above 50% portion of the management and administrative team.
