UK Coffee Chain ‘Costa Coffee’ Outlet is Now Open in Karachi. The UK-based coffee chain will use the local market knowledge of its Karachi-based UK franchisee, Gerry’s Group, to launch at least two stores in Pakistan.
Costa Coffee partnered with its current UK franchisee, Gerry’s Group, to launch in Pakistan. Already active in Pakistan’s aviation sector, Gerry’s Group manages marketing, ticketing, and human resources for 11 foreign airlines based there.
But, Gerry’s entry into Pakistan’s market for branded coffee shops is made possible by the Costa Coffee partnership.
Now operating more than 1,100 coffee shops in various international markets in addition to 2,800 coffee shops in the UK and Ireland, Costa Coffee is present in 41 countries worldwide.
The US chain The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, the Australian-American brands Gloria Jean’s and McCafé, and the UAE’s Coffee Planet are among the other international businesses with locations in Pakistan.
