Pakistan Railways has introduced a strict ban on photography and videography within its premises, extending the restriction to journalists, vloggers, bloggers, social media influencers, and other digital content creators.
According to the updated policy, no individual will be allowed to carry out filming or photography activities inside railway stations, platforms, trains, or any related infrastructure without obtaining prior written approval from Railway Headquarters. The administration has also clearly stated that access to operational zones, control areas, and other restricted sections for the purpose of content creation has been completely prohibited.
Officials have further emphasized that the move is aimed at strengthening security protocols and ensuring the safety and smooth functioning of railway operations. They have warned that any railway employee found assisting or facilitating unauthorized recording or photography will face strict departmental disciplinary action.
In addition, authorities have indicated that violations of the policy may not only result in internal action but could also lead to legal proceedings under applicable laws, depending on the severity of the breach.
