Pakistan’s volleyball team emerged victorious in the final of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Nations’ Volleyball League, held at the Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad. They defeated Turkmenistan with a 3-1 victory, securing set scores of 25-21, 25-19, 20-25, and 25-14.
Pakistan demonstrated strong offensive and defensive strategies, taking early leads in the first two sets. Although Turkmenistan made a comeback in the third set, winning 25-20, Pakistan regained control in the fourth set, decisively winning 25-14 to clinch the match.
Earlier in the day, Kyrgyzstan claimed third place by defeating Sri Lanka 3-1. Kyrgyzstan won the first two sets 25-20 and 25-17, before Sri Lanka won the third set 25-20. However, Kyrgyzstan secured the fourth set 25-23 to win the match.
Pakistan remained unbeaten throughout the competition, defeating every team they faced. On May 16, they overcame Iran with a 3-1 victory, with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, and 25-20. Pakistan reached the final on May 15 after defeating Kyrgyzstan 3-0 in their fourth match.
This consistent performance highlighted Pakistan’s dominance in the tournament, culminating in their final victory against Turkmenistan.
