Universities in Islamabad, Rawalpindi Go Online Ahead of Expected Iran-US Talks

Several universities in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have shifted to online classes and delayed exams due to the expected talks between Iran and the United States in the capital.

The International Islamic University Islamabad has announced that all classes will be conducted online from April 20 to 24. The university has taken this step to ensure the safety of students, faculty, and staff during the high-security period in the city.

Similarly, Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University has also moved to remote learning and temporarily closed its campus. Students have been advised to continue their studies from home through online platforms.

In addition, Rawalpindi Medical University has postponed its examinations until further notice. The university administration said new dates will be announced once the situation becomes normal.

Officials said these decisions have been made as a precautionary measure due to strict security arrangements in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

With road closures, transport suspension, and heavy deployment of security personnel, it may be difficult for students and staff to travel safely to campuses.

Universities are also encouraging students to stay updated through official channels and follow instructions carefully. The shift to online learning is aimed at ensuring that academic activities continue without major disruption.

Authorities believe these temporary measures will help maintain safety while allowing students to continue their education during this important time.
