Videos And Audio From Mobile Phones Can Now Be Used As Evidence In Court

After proposed legal amendnents are accepted, the federal government has recently decided that mobile phone audios and videos will be admissible as evidence in court.

As per reliable sources, Prime Minister Imran Khan approved the proposed modification on recently, allowing mobile phone footage, photos, voice recordings, and associated digital assets to be utilized as evidence in criminal court proceedings.

Senator Dr. Muhammad Farogh Naseem, the Federal Minister for Law and Justice, stated that the government was not presenting a new law, but rather making adjustments to current legislation to better serve the interests of the common man.

Further, the federal cabinet is anticipated to accept these amendments next week and send them to Parliament later.

In addition, the law minister said that if a first information report (FIR) is not filed, the applicant can go to the Superintendent of Police (SP), who is required to process their plea.
