Vietnam Launching E-Visa for Pakistan, Here’re the Details

The government of Vietnam is set to introduce an E-Visa service for businesspeople from Pakistan. This announcement came from Nguyen Tien Phong, the Vietnamese Ambassador, during his address to the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI).

The ambassador highlighted that a lack of knowledge and connectivity has been a significant barrier to enhancing trade relations between the two countries. He emphasized the need for mutual understanding and cooperation to address common challenges.

Vietnam is involved in importing and exporting various goods from Pakistan, and rather than competing, the two nations should collaborate, according to the ambassador.

He praised Faisalabad’s well-developed textile industry and suggested that it should diversify into IT, potentially transforming the city into a textile-focused Silicon Valley.

Phong mentioned that Vietnam could share technology and establish joint ventures with Pakistani entrepreneurs. Additionally, Vietnam is open to assisting Pakistan in developing its tourism industry.

The ambassador also supported the idea of bilateral trade delegations exchanging visits and offered to facilitate B2B meetings with relevant stakeholders.

Furthermore, he suggested that Pakistani farmers formally request assistance from the beef association to explore new avenues for exports.
